Weekend mobile mechanic
Shops close at noon on Saturday and don't open Sunday. A weekend mobile mechanic works the days you're actually home, so the brake job or the dead battery gets handled without taking a weekday off.
01 — Overview
Car repair on the days you're home
The weekend is when most people have time for the car, and it's exactly when most shops are closed. A weekend mobile mechanic flips that. Saturday morning brakes in the driveway, a Sunday afternoon battery for the car that died at the grocery store, a pre-purchase inspection at a private seller's house on the only day you can both meet.
Weekend availability varies by city, and the honest way to find out is to reach out through your city page. In most of our markets Saturday is a full working day and Sunday is available for urgent calls and often scheduled ones too. The mobile mechanic will tell you what's open.

02 — Weekend jobs
What a weekend mobile mechanic handles
Everything a weekday mechanic does, with a tilt toward the jobs people save for days off:
- Brake pads and rotors, the number one weekend booking
- Oil changes and tune-ups on the family's cars in one visit
- Battery, alternator and starter for the car that died Friday night
- Pre-purchase inspections for weekend car shopping
- Check engine light diagnosis before Monday's commute
- Breakdown and roadside calls, which don't take weekends off
03 — Booking
How to book a weekend appointment
Reach out during the week if you can. Saturday slots fill up, and reaching out Wednesday or Thursday with your vehicle details and the job lets the mechanic pick up parts on Friday and show up Saturday ready. For a known job like brakes or plugs, that means one visit with no waiting on a parts store.
Same-day weekend calls work too, especially for no-starts and breakdowns, which are prioritized. Parts stores are open Saturday and most are open Sunday with shorter hours, so the common parts are available. The mechanic will tell you when you reach out whether the part you need is a same-day pickup.
04 — Sundays
Sunday and holiday availability
Sunday coverage depends on the local mechanic. In larger cities it's usually available for urgent calls and often for scheduled work. In smaller markets Sunday may be emergencies only. Holidays follow the same pattern. Your city page gives you the answer directly; there's no dispatcher deciding for them.
If Sunday isn't available and the car isn't urgent, Monday morning calls are handled fast and the car is often done before lunch. If it is urgent, say so; a mobile mechanic treats emergencies as a priority seven days a week.

06 — Cost
Does a weekend mobile mechanic cost more?
Saturday is a normal working day for most of our mechanics, with normal pricing: parts plus labor, quoted up front. Some mechanics apply a modest premium for Sunday or holiday calls, which is always stated when you reach out. No tow, no shop. See the mobile mechanic cost page.
Either way it's cheaper than the weekday you'd take off to sit in a shop.
